Privacy Policy

Who we are

thedesignereye.com is published by Sanaz Design Inc., an interior design firm in Toronto, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information the site collects, how it is used and how to contact us about it. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

The site has no contact form and no analytics at this time. We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us: when you call (416) 780-0004 or email info@thedesignereye.com, we receive your name, your contact details and whatever you tell us about your project. When you sign up for updates or the masterclass list, we receive your email address and the list you joined.

Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of each request) to run and secure the site. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify visitors.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your enquiry, arrange a consultation and carry out the work you ask for. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only with people who help deliver a project, such as trades and suppliers, and only as far as the project needs.

If you sign up for updates or the masterclass list, we use your email address only to send you those emails. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time by writing to info@thedesignereye.com.

Cookies and video

The site sets no tracking cookies of its own. The one exception is video: episodes of Style with Sanaz are embedded from YouTube through its privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing from YouTube loads until you press play on a video. When you press play, YouTube may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@thedesignereye.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This site is meant for adults looking for design services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If the site starts using analytics, a contact form or a member area, this policy will be updated before those features go live. The date at the top shows the latest version.
