ONE OF OUR RECENT PROJECTS
Douglas Avenue, Toronto
A regular client asked us to style this home on Douglas Avenue in Toronto.
Our client, a respected custom home developer in Toronto, built the house to a high standard of workmanship. The finishes and structural details made it exciting, and easy, to work our magic.
For this project we took our inspiration from Scandinavian style. It has been gaining momentum in the design world and is making its way into Canadian homes, and homes around the world.
THE DESIGN
Neutral Palette, Bold Focal Points
We kept the main tone of the interior in a neutral palette and emphasised the focal points of the home with bold colour. We did it with some of our favourite hand-picked furniture pieces in midnight blue ultra suede, and what better accent for royal blue than gold.
Scandinavian style is known for natural materials. The walnut wood flooring was a natural pairing for our carefully placed gold and silver accents.
To tie it together we used contemporary furniture with straight lines that complemented the Scandinavian interior. The result combines simplicity, functionality and modernism in a clean, elegant style for everyone to enjoy.
Design tip: Scandinavian interiors tend to make a home look bigger and brighter.
